Cotswold

The neighborhood immediately surrounding one of Charlotte’s oldest suburban shopping centers is now well entrenched in the center of South Charlotte real estate.

With Randolph Road and Sharon Amity running through and around the neighborhood, Cotswold is ideally situated with easy access to any part of Charlotte. Minutes to Uptown and South Park, Cotswold is a great choice for anyone wanting to be close to the action with an easy neighborhood feeling.

Shopping and Restaurants

Cotswold shopping center was recently renovated inside and out with trendy eateries like The Improper Pig  and Koishi and local favorites like the Pizza Peel and Salsarita’s. Cotswold also boasts one of only two Krispy Kremes in Charlotte! (Okay, if you have trouble controlling your doughnut addiction, this… may actually be reason to stay away.)

You can also take care of all your necessities with mainstream options like Rite Aid, UPS Store, Marshalls, and Harris Teeter. Cotswold is a practical choice with entertaining options – and demand for the deeply rooted South Charlotte area continues to grow with a Publix grocery store slated to open in 2017.

Living

Most homes in the neighborhood surrounding to the shopping center were built in the 50’s and 60’s. Many have been remodeled as the popularity that continues today began to heat up in the 90’s. Some contractors and home designers have even taken advantage of the larger lot size and increased the square footage of the homes.

Though many homes continue to be sought after because of the character has been preserved, it’s hard to find an original condition home on the Western side, near the shops, presenting an ideal mix of convenience and modern features to many home buyers. For those seeking a more modestly priced home, homes on the Eastern side can still be found for a relative bargain. It’s no wonder people of all types looking for the ideal South Charlotte neighborhood gravitate to Cotswold.

Sharon Amity borders Cotswold to the South. It’s Eastern border by the railroad tracks just on the other side of Craig Avenue. To the West is Providence Road with Andover Road and McAlway stretching along the North, bisected by Randolph Road.
