Lansdowne

The Lansdowne neighborhood in South Charlotte was developed primarily during the 50’s and 60’s. It includes the subdivisions of Mammoth Oaks, Robinson Woods, St. Michaels, and Lansdowne proper. Though typified by the long, lean ranches of the middle century in the larger part of Lansdowne, there are newer properties to be found in the area, including custom homes built in the 90’s – particularly in Saint Michaels.

Lansdowne Road in Lansdowne

Quietly nestled among the major roads of Providence, Fairview, and Sardis, the larger lot sizes of a Lansdowne home allows for expansive yards and more square footage than typically found this close to the city center. Down the street from South Park and Cotswold and convenient to Uptown Charlotte, its tree-lined streets and wide sidewalks create a welcoming neighborhood. It boasts its own community elementary school and includes the Jewish Community Center, welcoming people of all faiths for fitness and activities.

Lansdowne runs between Providence Road and Sardis Road. Sardis Road turns into Fairview Road and also forms its Northern border, while its Southern border is formed by either Sardis Lane or McAlpine Creek (depending on who you ask).
