When talking about the excellent quality of life you can find in suburbs north of Charlotte, Huntersville usually gets a lot of attention. Drive a little farther north on I-77 into Iredell County, though, and you’ll find a growing haven called Mooresville.
The ability to live on Lake Norman is one of the advantages to buying a home in Mooresville, and you can find waterfront homes in Morrison Cove. The neighborhood boasts beautiful properties and a prime position to shop locally in Mooresville. If you’re looking for a lower maintenance, condo lifestyle, Pier 33 has some great options.
For those that enjoy an active lifestyle, the McDowell Creek Greenway is nearby and allows joggers, hikers, and bikers the ability to go out and enjoy nature without having to drive to the many greenways in Charlotte. The convenience allows for Mooresville residents to get their fitness in for free without needing a gym membership.
If you’re looking at Mooresville as a future destination for a home, note that there are just as many options in terms of shopping, entertainment, and restaurants as any other major suburb of Charlotte. One of my favorite restaurants is Eddie’s on Lake Norman, where you can enjoy delicious crab legs or one of their Italian specialties, like eggplant rollatini, while taking in a gorgeous view of the water. If the weather is nice, the outdoor dining area on the lake is the place to be.
Mooresville families love The Pit, an indoor go-kart race track. The Pit also has over 65 arcade games, pool tables, a laser tag arena, black light mini golf, bumper cars, and a 24-foot climbing wall. Winning a race at The Pit comes with major bragging rights, because driving a go-kart at high speeds is much harder than it looks!
